The New Patient Physical Exam code is 99385. The established rate for this code is $326.00, which is the price an uninsured person would pay out of pocket. Each insurance company negotiates different rates with health care providers as part of their contracts, which are called discounted rates. The rates paid by the insurance company for a service are based on the number of insurance clientele - or customers - that will use the in-network services offered by the provider.
