Assignment - Use the data to answer the following questions:

Assess the Normality of the variables Distance and LeadBefore, describe the measure you used to assess Normality, give your interpretation of the measure and give your final conclusions. If you decide that either/ both of the variables are non - Normal then state which transformation you applied (if any) to obtain a variable for which Normality can be assumed and what your conclusions are regarding the transformation(s).

1.1 Calculate the most appropriate descriptive statistics for Distance and LeadBefore.

1.2 Compare the mean and median value for each variable. Give an explanation for your answer.

1.3 Give a practical interpretation of the measure of variability that you calculated for each variable.

2. Create a new variable DistCat by grouping the values of Distance into categories as follows:

Label the categories of the variable DistCat.

Print out the data set. [Hint: choose Print from the file menu while you are in the spreadsheet/data window.]

Print the summary file information that is the variable contained in the data set and their labels.

[Hint: choose file info from the utilities menu.]
