You have 5 mL of HCl acid (unknown concentration) in a 50 mLvolumetric flask, and bring it up to volume with deionizedwater. Calculate the molarity of the HCl by using the pH equation(pH = -log[H3O+]) , and the dilution equation (C1 xV1 = C2 x V2).

Remember that

HCl(l) + H2O (l) 6 H3O+(aq) + Cl- (aq) pH recorded was 3.13 in the diluted solution.
