Question: Consider the following data obtained for two samples selected at random from two populations that are independent and normally distributed with equal variances.

a. Calculate the means and standard deviations for these samples.

b. Using the procedure learned in Section 10.2 of Chapter 10, test at the 5% significance level whether the means of the populations from which these samples are drawn are equal.

c. Using the one-way ANOVA procedure, test at the 5% significance level whether the means of the populations from which these samples are drawn are equal.

d. Are the conclusions reached in parts b and c the same?
