A uniform rod of mass 1.5 kilogram and length 0.5 meter leans against a vertical frictionless wall. The coefficient of friction between the floor and the rod is 0.38.

a) Determine the static friction force as a function of angle between the vertical and the rod.

b) Calculate the maximal angle between the vertical and the rod for which the rod will not slip.

c) Assume the angle between the wall and the rod is maximal. Determine the instantaneous angular acceleration of the rod if the vertical wall is suddenly removed?
