A student was instructed to prepare 250 mL of a 0.500 mol/L solution potassium permanganate. What is the correct order for this

Step 1 Step 2   Step 3   Step 4   Step 5   Step 6   Step 7

  • Calculate the mass required to make 250 mL of a 0.500 mol/L solution of potassium permanganate.
  • Obtain the calculated mass in a 250 mL beaker.
  • Dissolve the solid in 125 mL of distilled water.
  • Transfer the solution into a 250 mL volumetric flask.
  • Rinse the beaker and pour into the 250 mL volumetric flask.
  • Top up the solution with distilled water until it reaches the 250 mL meniscus line.
  • Stopper and invert the flask to mix.
  • Obtain the calculated mass in a 250 mL volumetric flask.
  • Transfer the solution into a 250 mL Erlenmeyer flask.
