Assignment:

A mining operation utilizes a six inch pump to move gravel from the pit to a sluice box. The pump transfers 130 m3 of slurry each hour, from the pit to the sluice box containing, on average, 100kg of solids per m3 of slurry. The sluice box is fed with slurry for ten (10) hours each day and the mats removed for gold recovery every five days. The average grade of the gravel is 2.0 grams of g/tonne of solid. The operation retrieves two hundred (200) kilograms of concentrate from the mats from which 1040g of gold is recovered. Calculate the following:
