Two students decided to fling balloons filled with M1=68.1grams of ice water at coeds who are sun batheing on the roof of asorority house two blocks east of the physics bulding. Theybuilt a trebuchet on the roof of the physics building. Forthe large mass, M2, they cast a solid lead spere D2=22.2 cm indiameter. M1 was mounted so that its center of mass is at adistance L1=4.09 meters from the axis of rotation and M2 wasmounted so that its center of mass was L2=.236 meters from the axisof rotation. Assume that the trebuchet is loaded in thehorizontal position and that the ballon leaves the arm at thehighest point of rotation. Ignore fritction and the momentsof inertia of the arms.
