A normal electric power cord consists of two parallel conductors about 4 mm apart. Estimate the magnetic field strength (in N/C) about 30 cm from a linear 25 m power cord connected to a 100 W lamp and a 120 V outlet. (Hints: You may find the binomial approximation useful. Do the fields of the individual wires reinforce or oppose each other?)
