Problem - Can someone explain how to solve these questions?

Recall that Mendel examined the inheritance of genes for the texture of the peaseed (W-round and w-wrinkled) and genes that controlled the colour of the seed (G-yellow) and g-green). Mendel determined that these genes were independently assorting.

Imagine that genes G and W are linked and are 10 map units apart onchromosome 3. What phenotypic ratio would be expected in F1 and F2 when a(GGWW) plants are crossed to (ggww) plants? How many recombinants will youobserve if you analyse 1000 plants in F2.

Write down the phenotype and gametes that will be produced by plants in F1.

Calculate the genotype frequencies of the F2 dihybrid cross (self-fertilizationof F1 plants), then calculate the expected ratios of F2 phenotypes.

Write down the formula for the calculation of map units
