A fire hose must be able to shoot a stream of water a specified height, straight up. Calculate the gauge pressure (difference between actual pressure and atmospheric pressure) required in the water main supplying the hose. Assume that the diameter of the main is sufficiently larger than that of the hose that the velocity of the water in the main is negligible.
