Question: Water at 70°F is flowing in a 3-in. ID pipeline and is being metered by an orifice meter where b = 0.5. Calculate the flow rate in gallons per minute if the Ap across the orifice is 28 in. of manometer fluid where the manometer fluid has a specific gravity of 1.7. Justify your assumption on CO, the orifice discharge coefficient.
