A hockey puck (mass mA = 0.20kg) moves along the ice in the xdirection at a speed of 6.0m/s. It strikes a second puck (mB = 0.3kg) which is initially at rest. After the collision it is observed that puck A moves off at an angle of ? above the x-axis while puck B moves at an angle f below the xaxis.

A) Write the equations that represent conservation of momentum (2 components: x- and y) for this event, including known values.

B) If the final angles are measured to have the values ?=10° and f= 8°, determine the final speeds for the two pucks. Calculate the initial and final translational kinetic energy for the system.
