Two reservoirs are connected with a 30" diameter pipe with a length of 19,680 ft. The water surface elevation in the upper reservoir of the upper reservoir is 984 ft, lower reservoir 886 ft and the elevation at the midpoint is 918 ft. To increase the capacity of the pipe line, a second 12" diameter pipe was installed from the upper reservoir to the center of the line (9,840 ft). Pipe friction is the same for all three pipes (f=0.02). Calculate the discharge in each pipe and the pressure at the midpoint.
