a) The partial pressure of CO2, in the expired air is 25 mm Hg and in the alveolar air it is 39 mm Hg. For an expired volume of 550ml, calculate the dead space volume.

b) Given an expired volume is 500 ml and a dead space volume is 125 ml, calculate the ratio of CO2 concentration in the expired and alveolar air.
