Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) requires a strong magnet (~ 2.4 T) which is usually a superconducting electromagnet. In the event of an emergency (like pulling a loaded revolver out of a security guard's holster), there is a quench button which will eliminate the magnetic field (and usually destroy the magnet!) in 20 seconds. Consider someone who is near the magnet when the quench occurs and who is wearing a wedding ring with a diameter of 2.0 cm. Calculate the current induced in the ring if the ring has a resistance of 0.050 Ω during the quench. You may assume that the ring is oriented so that the field goes perpendicular to the plane of the ring.
