Solve the following problems given below:
Problem I: An electric shaver consumes 5.0 W under normal operation. Calculate the current drawn from a 110 V wall outlet to operate the shaver.
Problem II: What is the effective resistance of the shaver?Imagine that the shaver is dropped into a sink full of water. The water acts as a 0.30 ohm resistor connecting the wires going into the shaver.
Problem III: Sketch circuit diagrams for the shaver under normal operation and when it is in the sink.
Problem IV: Calculate the current and power drawn from the AC line while the shaver is in the sink.
Please keep answer short and simple and please no copy and paste. Note that this worst-case scenario is unlikely in real life. First, most shavers have transformers on the wall plug so that the voltage going into the shaver is much less than 110 V (for example, 15 V). Secondly, the short circuit will trip either the ground fault current interrupter (GFCI) or the circuit breaker which will stop the current flow.
A sphere of radius R is uniformly charged to a total charge of Q. It is made to spin about an axis that passes through its center with an angular speed ω. Find the magnitude of the resulting magnetic field at the center of the sphere.
A resistor is in the shape of a cube, with each side of resistance R . Find the equivalent resistance between any two of its adjacent corners.
