The yield strength for AA 7075-T6 IS 525 MPa and for 300 grade managing steel it's 2075-MPa. The fracture toughness values are 30 and 70-MPa (m)^1/2, respectively. Both of these materials find applications in the aircraft industry. The aluminium alloy is used for airframe applications, while the managing steel has been used for landing gear and for the main shafts in jet turbine engines. if these components are put into service at one-half of the materia's yield strength, calculate the critical flaw size (2ac) for both materials. Assume kI=r(pi a)^1/2 f, where f=1.0
