Question - Call center B processed 1.2 million phone orders for a total of 2.4 million items. 50% of the orders are new customers and it takes 7 minutes to set up an order for a new customer. 50% of the orders are returning customers who agreed to have their credit card information saved, in which case it only takes 3 minutes to set up an order. It takes 2 minutes to process each item ordered. The practical capacity of all call center operators is 18.3 million minutes and total call center costs are 8,090,000. Calculate the cost of unused capacity in the call center.
