Instructions: Complete the following questions, calculations and attach the screen shots and fare quotes as outlined in the questions.

Question 1 - SITTTSL012( 1.1, 1.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 3.1) SITTTSL013( 1.1, 1.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 3.1)

Calculate the cheapest Alliance fare and a Consolidated Nett Fares. You are then required to outline what recommendations, based on the quoted price to the client in regards to travel.

A. Itinerary

Your customers Mr & Mrs Smith and Mr & Mrs Jones (4 passengers) are travelling together in the following itinerary departing 17thNovember 201X they would like to stay in each destination for 6 days.

Which fare would you recommend to the travellers for this itinerary and why?

B. Itinerary

Your customers Mr Patel, Mr Harry and Mr Conroy (3 passengers) are travelling to Lima, Peru for a business meeting and will stay for 4 nights, then return via Auckland, New Zealand, staying 4 nights departing 6 June 201X.

Which fare would you recommend to the travellers for this itinerary and why?

C. Itinerary

Mr Singh & Mrs Singh are travelling home to Delhi with their 7-year-old son. They will depart Sydney on the 12 July 201X and stay for one month, on the way home they will like to go to Hong Kong Disneyland and stay for 5 nights.

Which fare would you recommend to the travellers for this itinerary and why?

What is the baggage allowance and cost for excess baggage?

Mr Flinders is travelling from Sydney to Perth one way for travel on the 30th August 201X at approximately 9:00am find the cheapest fare and answer the following:

a) What is the fare? What is the fare basis?

b) What are the taxes, surcharges and levies are payable?

c) When is full payment required?

d) What cancellation charges apply if cancelled 1 week prior to travel?

e) What is the child discount?

Mr & Mrs Cook are travelling from Sydney to Brisbane to see family for 3 days, then Mr Smith has an important meeting at Canberra airport for 1 hour before heading to Melbourne to continue their holiday. They wish to travel to Brisbane on the 26 September 201X at approximately 12:00pm. They only travel Business class.

Find the cheapest fare and answer the following:

a) What is the fare? What is the fare basis?

b) What are the taxes, surcharges and levies are payable. What is the baggage allowance and cost for excess baggage?

c) What charges apply if the customer requests a date change on the first sector?

Question 4 - SITTTSL011( 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.4, 3.2) SITTTSL012(3.2) SITTTSL013(3.2)

Your clients Mr and Mrs Rogers along with their 2 children Molly aged 4 &Wally aged 6 (They live 1 hour by car from Sydney airport) and would like to go on a family holiday departing Sydney on 19 July 201X for 7 nights within Australia.

Choose a suitable destination for the Rogers family. Note that the adults would like to be able to relax and also have some activities for children. You will need to do the following:

a) Arrange return flights that would suit them and then choose the appropriate accommodation for the family.

b) Provide your customer with an email quote for the above itinerary stating what the airlines Fare Rules and Agencies rules are.

c) You will need to email a copy of the proposed itinerary to your customers to confirm that they would like to proceed with this quoted booking (including appropriate airline codes and flight numbers).

As per the guidelines, Each assessment component is recorded as either Competent (C) or Not Yet Competent (NYC). A student can only achieve competence when all assessment components listed under “Purpose of the assessment” section are recorded as competent. This assessment has to be completed In class X At home - The assessment is to be completed according to the instructions given by your assessor. Feedback on each task will be provided to enable you to determine how your work could be improved. You will be provided with feedback on your work within two weeks of the assessment due date. All other feedback will be provided by the end of the term.
