A ball is attached to a center post by a string that is 0.481 m long. The ball is moving in a circle on a frictionless table top at a speed of 1.40 m/s with a radius of 0.481 m. What is the centripetal acceleration of the ball?

If the ball has a mass of 0.317 kg, what is the centripetal force acting on the ball?

The centripetal force refers to the NET force acting on the ball. The only force pulling the ball towards the center of the circle is the tension of the string. What is the tension in the string if the ball is traveling at 1.40 m/s in a circle of radius 0.481 m?
