Two kilograms of Refrigerant 134a, initially at 200 kPa and occupying a volume of 0.11874 m3, undergoes a process at constant pressure until the volume has doubled. Kinetic and potential energy effects are negligible.

Designate a control system/volume in the above sketch showing the various energies crossing the boundary. Draw a qualitative P-V diagram for the process. Write the energy balance equation and simplify to a form that is directly applicable to the problem.
