The transformation efficiency is defined as the quotient of the nubmer of cells transformed and the amount of input DNA in μg. In a transformation experiment, 50μl of competent cells were mixed with a 100ng og plasmid DNA. After heat-shocking in the cell, you add 450μl of media, incubate for 1 hour and spread 70 μl of the transformation reaction on to several selective plates. the following day, you examine the plates and count an average of 200 colonies. Calculate the average transformation efficiency of this.
