Suppose that there are two fault planes under the same differential stress (Similar a1 and a3 ), both of which are parallel to a2. We know the shear and normal stresses on the planes as following:
Plane#1 a, = 100 Mpa = 65 Mpa
Planet12 cr, = 362.5 Mpa a, = 40 Mpa

Question 1: Calculate a1 and a3 using Mohr diagram formulas for shear and normal stress.

Question 4: Draw the Mohr diagram and show the point corresponding to each fault -Show graphically that your results are accurate enough.
