Question - Two questions about using the normality equation N1V1=N2V2 to calculate the amount of titrant needed to neutralize an analyte:

1) can it be used for titration a involving a weak acid or base (either mono or diprotic) ?

2) can it be used for titration an of an amino acid (if we treat it as diprotic and assume there are no acidic/basic side chains)?

Please explain how you came up with answer I really want to understand how to calculate this
