Question - At the beginning of the year, Whiplash, Inc. predicts total overhead costs of $12,992,000. The company applies overhead using direct labor hours and estimates it will use 29,000 direct labor hours during the year.

Required -

a. Calculate the firm's predetermined OH rate.

b. During the period, the firm works on and completes job #201. This job uses 50 direct labor hours during the period. Calculate the amount of overhead that should be applied to job 201 during the period.
