ASSIGNMENT-

STEP I.  SCALE VARIABLE

Choose a scale variable from the RSM701 data set and generate a question that could be answered. For example, "What were the week 1 grades of participants in the study?"

Calculate measures of central tendency and a histogram to answer this question. You may want to superimpose a normal curve on your histogram. Keep the question simple - e.g., "How much..." or "How often..." Only use ONE variable - do not ask a question with two variables.

STEP II.  NOMINAL VARIABLE

Choose ONE nominal variable from the same data set. Ask a simple question about this single variable.

Develop a frequency table and a bar chart to answer your question.

STEP III.  SAVE YOUR OUTPUT

Save your output file using your last name and first initial as follows "SchmittKWk2.spv" (note that SPSS will supply the *.spv extension because you are saving a viewer file). You will use this in the next step. Do not attach this file to the discussion area (it is for your use only).

STEP IV. SUMMARIZE YOUR FINDINGS.

Write up the results in APA format as if you were describing the analysis for your thesis or dissertation. Include the question and make sure to include tables and figures (you can copy and paste from your SPSS output file). For the scale variable, be sure to describe the shape of the distribution.
