A 20.0 g ice, initially at 0 oC is melted in 50.0 g of water that was initially at 25oC . After the ice is melted, the equilibrium temperature is 12.5oC. The specific heat of water is 4.186 J/g.oC and that of ice is 2.093 J/g.oC). Calculate a) heat lost by water, and 2) heat gained by the ice cube after it melts.
