This study attempts to determine if native English speakers are able to state the font color of words which are color names faster than native Spanish speakers. All participants were fluent in English, regardless of their primary language. Ten individuals of each group were given a series of color names, presented in such a way that the font color used did not match the color name being presented. The time taken for each participant to state the font color used was recorded and an average time was calculated for each participant. The data for both groups is presented in the table below:
