Question - Our company bought 1000 units of goods for resale at 49 USD/unit. The cost of transport of goods to the entity was 6 USD/unit. At the end of the year the managers valuation of the goods. The goods could be sold on the market at 37 USD/unit, but the company is obligated to sell a part of them to the client under long-term contract. In such a case the company will receive the amount 42 per unit and will have to transport the goods to the client. The costs of transport will be covered by our company (estimated costs are 8 USD/unit). When selling on the market, the company does not have to cover any costs. The part, which has to be sold to the client is 160 units. Calculate at what value the goods should be presented in the balance sheet of the company at the end of the year.
