A nutrition lab tested 65 "reduced sodium" hot dogs and found the mean sodium content to be 318 mg with a stdev of 32 mg.

a) Calculate and interpret a 90% confidence interval for the true population mean sodium content for this type of hot dog. Show hand calculation!!!

b) Obtain the interval using MiniTab and show output.

c) In order to use the "reduced sodium" labelling, regulations state the average sodium content in these types of hotdogs can be no higher than 305 mg. Should the company processing these hot dogs qualify to use the label? Why or why not?

d) In order to trust the information in the interval, is there anything else about these data that we need to know?

e) What is the margin of error or this interval? Show calculation.

f) If we want to reduce the margin of error to 4.0 mg, how big must the sample size be? Show calculation.
