Consider two spheres, sphere 1 having a charge of -q and sphere 2 having a charge of +q which are both insulating and initially separated by a distance L(center to center separation). The masses of the two spheres are m1 and m2 and the radii are r1 and r2.

A. By considering the conservation of both energy and momentum, find the speeds of both spheres after they are released and at the point just before they collide.

B. If the insulating spheres were replaced by metallic ones whose radii were large enough not to be considered as point charges, would the speeds of the spheres increase, decrease or remain the same? Explain your reasoning.
