If the faucet has a constricted opening then the water may speed up there. But when it enters the hose (which is larger) it will slow down again. The end of the hose may again be a constriction that will force the water to speed up again. But from the faucet to the outlet the water is all moving at the same speed since the hose is uniform in size. Why does the pressure decrease from faucet to outlet where the speed is all the same?
