Law and Society

Every year in the United States, Congress passes new laws, and the Supreme Court makes decisions on court cases that determine how laws are to be interpreted. As society evolves, so do its laws. When society deems that a practice should no longer be legal, it is up to the governing bodies to create laws to prevent or dissuade these acts from occurring again. How would the landscape look if these laws were nonexistent? consider the role of law in ensuring a thriving, functional society. You will also discuss possible circumstances under which an organization or society could function without law.

Give a explanation of the need for laws within business and society as a whole. In your explanation:

Identify the circumstances-if any-under which society could exist or businesses could function without the law.

Provide specific examples as well as at least one scholarly source to support your response.
