Project Task - Planning and Facilitating Teamwork
Part (A)
Project Task PartA-Think about a plan you need to develop for a ‘team project' or task (or one that you have recently developed and where one hasn't been developed;Negotiate a team issue to be addressed with your Assessor for the plan. Describe this plan by answering the following 6 steps. Ensure your answers cover hints provided under each step. (min 200 words for all 6 steps)
Step 1: Define the purpose of the plan
• What was the purpose of your plan?
• Why did the project need to be completed?
Step 2: Collect relevant information
• How did you collect the background and other necessary? information you needed to plan the project?
• What stakeholders were involved and how did you liaise with them?
• How did you use business technology to access, organise and monitor information?
Step 3: Involve the team
• How did you encourage ownership and responsibility?
• What strategies were developed to ensure team members had input into the planning, decision making and operational aspects of the project?
• How did you communicate roles, responsibilities and accountabilities in accordance with your plans and objectives?
• What business technology was used to communicate effectively?
• What other communication processes were used to develop and facilitate team cohesion?
• What processes were developed to ensure any issues/concerns of team members were recognised and addressed?

Part (B)
Project Task Part B-Prepare a report,address it to your assessor/Manager name;In your report, you need to summarise the 6 stepsprovided on part A. (min 100 words). You need to use business letter writing style for this task.
Section 3 - Roleplay/Presentation
Team Management Practical
This is a business simulation roleplay activity.
Assessor acts as CEO of ABC-Melbourne Pty Ltd.- and will select a business activity: such as human resources management, IT support, sales and marketing, finance, network security, web developing, etc. for students to present.
Student acts as a Department Manager-of selected activity-andneeds to answer the following 8 questions to the team members and the assessor. Please note, this is not a group presentation.Student needs to answer each question individually as per selected business activity. Student needs to submit ppt presentation slides (min 10 slides) at presentation in class and at submission along with this student assessment pack. Slide#1 will be the business activity name that has been selected by Assessor/student, along with student name, ID, date of presentation and the slide#10 a brief conclusion and recommendation. Other 8 remaining slides will be bullet points' slides that address each of the interview questions.
Interview questions
1- How will you establish a common understanding of team purpose, roles, responsibilities and accountabilities in accordance with organisational goals, plans and objectives?
2- How will you support team members in meeting expected performance outcomes?
3- When you developed policies and procedures, how will you ensure team members take responsibility for own work and assist others to undertake required roles and responsibilities
4- How will you provide feedback to team members to encourage, value and reward them and their efforts and contributions?
5- How will you support the team in identifying and resolving work performance problems?
6- An example of how own contribution to work team serves as a role model for others and enhances the organisation's image for all stakeholders- provided.
7- How will you establish and maintain open communication processes with all stakeholders?
8- How will you evaluate and take necessary corrective actions regarding unresolved issues, concerns and problems raised by internal or external stakeholders?
