The assignment requires students to produce a business proposal of a conceptual virtual organisation using appropriate e-business models and strategies in a report. The virtual organisation must demonstrate how business processes and/or services can be implemented, supported and improved. The assignment should also cover implementation, management and maintenance issues relating to e-business.

It is important to write a realistic business plan (based on research and creativity) to make your proposal relevant to real-life business situations. However, you are not expected to include details of management teams, production plans and detailed financial statements (although start-up costs and forecasts are expected).

Your report should cover the following:

- Name of your conceptual virtual organisation
- Mission statement and goals (Identify and justify clear objectives)
- E-business model (inc. online value proposition, online revenue model(s), marketplace positioning, target market, representation in the physical/virtual world)
- Industry and competitor analysis
- Assess the likely costs, profitability and revenues
- Appraise the impact of e-business on organisation structures, individuals and communications

Format and requirements:

- Your individual report should be balanced, concise, and focused and no more than a maximum of 2000 words in length.
