KIT404/324 Business Process Innovation Week 4 Workshop - Strategy and Process Alignment
Case Study : "IT Leaders must be more process focused; they must align more closely with the needs of the business". Process innovations and process redesigns frequently must employ technology in order to achieve major improvements in performance. Information technology has become an enabler for newly designed processes by eliminating limitations of time, location, or organizational structure or by providing a new basis for differentiation. This can only be achieved, however, when processes and information technology are carefully aligned with the overall organization's objectives.
Questions:
a. Read the attached case study and develop a strategy map including strategies, objectives/goals and actions.
b. For each action item listed on the strategy map, link the processes that you think may directly contribute to its execution.
c. Which processes make a significant contribution to the execution of the organizational strategy? How does this information move us forward? What can we do now that we know this?
d. Which processes make no contribution to the organizational strategy? How does this information move us forward? What can we do now that we know this?
