Key Details in Brief - Develop a marketing mix strategy for the launch of a new business.

Produce 15 power point presentation slides. Each slide will have a one hundred word brief attached (speakers notes) answering the points below.

Assignment Brief -

You are hired as an intern by the Nottingham City Council, and have been assigned to develop a plan to open a retail store in St James Street, which is situated at the heart of Nottingham City. It is your task to produce presentation slides with speakers' notes. You need to identify the target customer and develop marketing mix tactics for the launch of a retail store.

You are required to develop a plan for a retail store (core values and mission), as well as the customer segment that you wish to target, including your unique selling point for this target segment. You will also need to think about the pricing strategy that will be appropriate for the product. Furthermore, where and how will you distribute and sell the product will need to be covered, including the elements from service marketing mix (e.g. process, physical evidence etc). Finally, the promotional support need to be considered, including a slogans and/or straplines/headings, web site appearance and perhaps the kind of approach you will use to create an awareness (e.g. sales promotion, word of mouth, social media and etc). All the decisions need to be justified based on your understanding of the theoretical concepts as well as the market and the characteristics of the customer segment. You will therefore need to consider various factors such customers and competitors as they can have an impact on your decision.
