BUS5PA Predictive Analytics Assignment - FAQ, La Trobe Business School, La Trobe University, Australia
1. Do I need to change the variables from nominal to interval when first setting up the customer_purchase data source on SAS Enterprise miner as we did in the churn_telecom tutorial, and if so or if not why we do this?
2. Use an Impute node connected to Data Partition node. Set the node to impute U for unknown class variable values and the overall mean for unknown interval variable values. Create imputation indicators for all imputed inputs. Can you please explain setting up the node to impute U?
3. Assignment states to create two decision tree models with two-way and three- way splits. I did not understand how do we have to create it.
5. I added the other data source to score node and I tried to get output but I'm not getting any variables in the score node. It says the data in the score node doesn't exist.
Report format - A formal report is NOT expected for this assessment. As students of Masters' level, you are expected to decide a suitable format for an informal report (a report for discussion within the analytics group). Please speak to lecturer if you are unsure about the format. A word or pdf file with the heading BUS5PA Assignment, and student details should be submitted. Answers to questions in each part must be provided in the document. There is no strict word or page length, but students must keep in mind that a report that is too long can 'hide' the important points from the reader. A suggested page length is 10 pages + appendix containing additional screen shots of results.
