Question

A 60-year-old male presents with a burning, slightly itchy, and hypersensitive rash. The rash is characterized by linear vesicular lesions on an erythematous base, confined to the left T5 dermatomal pattern, with no spread. The patient has a past medical history of varicella as a child and has not received the herpes zoster vaccination. Recent use of NSAIDs and Neomycin with Polymyxin is noted, but there is no fever or purulent discharge. The patient reports environmental exposure to plants and insects but no food exposure. His medical history includes osteoarthritis and hypertension, with no concerning habits or medication allergies.
