Some people contend that PKI has not lived up to its early hype. In fact, there are some who believe that a ubiquitous or universal PKI may never be successful.  Others scoff at this defeatist attitude. They proclaim that if we can unravel the human genome,  land a human on the moon, and build the Chunnel, then we should be able to successfully implement a universal PKI. We only need to follow Nike's advice and "JUST DO IT."
