For the portfolio project, use the following site

You are to invest $10,000 for your investment portfolio. Select two mutual funds of your choice for your portfolio: one stock mutual fund, and one bond mutual fund. Simply input the ticker symbol for each fund in the "Quote Lookup" box on the right side of the screen. If you are not familiar with mutual funds, choose from the following ticker symbols:
Stock funds - AWSHX PRWCX TPLGX ACAAX CMGIX
Bond funds - DODIX PHDAX BRHYX OPBYX
1) For each asset (mutual fund), prepare a asset profile sheet.
This sheet should include:
- Name of fund
- Inception date
- Fund size (net assets)
- Description of the asset (you may copy and paste the Fund Summary)
- Category
- Performance return (YTD and 5yr. avg. return)
- Morningstar rating
- Expense ratio
- Your Purchase Price (Net Asset Value, or NAV) of each fund
- # of shares purchased of each fund
2) Build your investment portfolio
You may allocate your stock and bond funds as you wish. Decide how many dollars you want to put into each fund ($5,000 in each, or $7,500 in one and $2,500 in the other, etc.), check its price (NAV), and figure how many shares you can buy.
Setup your portfolio as shown below.
