- on your first day of your new job, you met with Beth, the retiring president of HR, to understand more about the recruitment and selection problems.
- Here is the information Beth gave you during your meeting with her:
- "We are growing fast - in revenue and profitability, but still, we can't attract people to our company. Many times, we receive very few or no responses to our job postings".
- "Most of our hiring is done under time pressure when there is a high workload or after someone leaves the company. We hire in a rush, or we just hire people that managers already know from their networks. In many cases we end up hiring unqualified people who fail quickly on the job".
