Assessment Task 1 - Case Study - Knowledge Questions
Read the provided Case Study: ("CMI [Charted Management Institute]: Using Teamwork to Build a Better Workplace").
Now prepare a word document with answers the following knowledge questions:
Q1. Evaluate the way in which teams-working impacts upon organisational performance?
Q2. Describe Henri Fayol's Five Functions of Management. Explain how CMI uses it to encourage team culture and improve team effectiveness.

Assessment Task 2: Team Project - Set up your Team
Form a team of no more than 4 to 5 members. Select a company (you can use ABC Pty Ltd). Choose a project for the company e.g. Devise a corporate communications strategy to ensure that a company's values, ethical principles, mission, and vision are communicated to employees at all levels.
For the selection of company and requirements please refer to the description area and requirements provided on page number 26 to 28 Learner guide.
Please read the information provided for (ABC Pty Ltd company) sample organisation profile on learner guide page number 26 (2nd paragraph) stated the company profile and focus area as community focus, ethical values and quality service and consider them vital their competitive position in the market.
You can select this ABC Pty Ltd company (details provided in learner guide) or can choose company where you have worked previously or any organisation you are working currently.
In this task you will commence your major project and complete the first part of the project formation of the team in Task -2 and then you will carry this task in Task-3 your team will perform the task and evaluate the performance.
Provide a word document outlining the following information you gathered to develop your team performance plan:
1. Analyse the Task requirements and determine the required skills & Knowledge to perform the task.
2. Conduct a Team Assessment to determine available skills and knowledge
3. Map Team's skills and knowledge with the required skills and knowledge of the task
4. Swap Team members between teams if needed
5. Develop Team goals and objectives (These goals and objectives should be SMART)

6. Identify and break down Project tasks (Identified and itemised project tasks)
7. Define roles and allocate responsibilities of each team members
8. Set Teamwork protocols /policies and work and communication procedures.

3. Developed the Team performance plan (Point 13) Please refer to the above temple and requirement provided for preparing the plan
Assessment Task 3 - Project Report and Presentation
(This task is a continuation of task 2, so please refer to learner guide page no 29 for Description area, leadership context and Task criteria)
Role play criteria:
As you have already formed a group of 4 - 5 team members in your task 2, arrange meeting via appropriate communication channels amongst team members
All the team members will assume responsibility for their assigned tasks (which is done in Assessment task 2)
The main purpose of the task or role play is to discuss about the collaborative leadership principles and evaluate your own leadership style and capabilities in the process.
Each team member must make necessary meeting notes
(Once the meeting is conducted, attach the notes made by each team member as role-play evidence)
Based on your Project in Assessment Task 2 write a Project Report in a word document addressing the following information:
An executive summary
Project description and objectives
Brief introduction of each of the team member
Roles and responsibility of each team member
Analysis of project outcomes against stated objectives
Problems (if any) faced by the team and resolution
Performance problem (if any) and resolution
Any unresolved issues or improvement requirements/scope
Suggested solutions for the future
LEDNA Survey criteria:
Each group member will conduct the survey for themselves. In effect, all the team members will provide feedback on each other's leadership style and characteristics, with a summary included in the team report. Completed surveys must be submitted along with the group documentation.
Assessment Task 3 - continued (Presentation of Team Project)
Provide a Power Point Presentation summarising your Project Report above.
(Along with the report, you will also need to present and submit your final product/outcome of the project) PPT slides required
What you must Submit for Task 3
1. Completed project /product report - (Report must be no longer than 4-A4 one sided)
Role-play evidence required
2. Team report (word processed and signed by each team member)
3. Copies of presentation (Along with the report, you will also need to present and submit your outcome of the project)
4. LEDNA survey copies and evaluation (Please refer the survey criteria provided above and survey available in resources Microsoft Teams)
5. Complete team portfolio containing all the required documents.
