Questions: You are required to conduct research on the following aspects of the chosen company and the global business environment, and conduct the cross-country analysis, and make your FDI recommendations, and structure your research report accordingly.

1. Briefly introduce the company (background, internationalisation history).
2. Briefly justify why you select the two candidate (non-home) countries in your global business environment evaluation from an international business perspective; related to Task 1;
3. Identify and assess political and legal influences on FDI activities in the two candidate countries; related to Task 1.
4. Identify and assess economic factors (economic system, economic development status/indicators, and regional economic integration) that may influence the FDI activities of the company in the two candidate countries; related to Task 1.
5. Identify and assess factors that create international business opportunities for the company in these two countries; related to Task 2.
6. Identify and assess potential risks when directly investing in these two countries; related to Task 2.
7. Recommend (and justify) which one of the two candidate countries that the chosen company should strategically prioritise for their direct investment overseas;
8. Offer your recommendations with regard to timing of the proposed FDI decision (should they be an early or late entrant), in relation to a new business opportunity (drawing back on your earlier discussion of international business opportunities); and scale of the investment (should they engage a rapid large-scale or a "small-scale starting and then gradually moving-up the scale" entry, in comparison with the global competitor as appropriate).
