Melanie is an HR officer at a large manufacturing company in South Africa. She is tasked with ensuring that the company's goals are translated into HR objectives. The aim is to ensure that the company is neither overstaffed nor understaffed so that the right employees with the appropriate talents, skills and desire are available to carry out their tasks in the right jobs at the right times. She is, however, unsure of her role and responsibilities in this process. She approached you for guidance.
