Assignment 2: Discussion-Memory Strategies

In this module, you also learned about a variety of memory strategies such as rehearsal, mnemonics, imagery, chunking, and the method of loci-just to name a few.

As you have likely learned from trial and error, memory strategies are often individual and situation specific. For example, a dancer might use imagery to visually rehearse and remember an entire routine but might use the method of loci to remember where the steps will be performed on the stage. Based on the module readings, respond to the following: Select a memory strategy from the textbook or a journal article in the Argosy University Online Library.

Briefly discuss the memory strategy and explain how it would be useful for a client in a specific scenario related to sport and exercise psychology. Write your initial response in 100-200 words. Apply APA standards to citation of sources.
