Question: On July 14, 1965, President Lyndon Johnson signed the Older Americans Act (OAA). The Act brought about significant changes in policies and programs for the growing population of older adults in the United States. It led to establishing the Administration on Aging, National Aging Network, Medicare, and others. The National Aging Network is an extensive network that covers numerous programs for the elderly, with branches at national, state, and community levels. Gerontology counselors equipped with information on the Web and programs are able to guide clients effectively.

Assignment Details

Prepare a 15-slide PowerPoint presentation to share information on the following:

Briefly discuss the historical background of the OAA.

Describe the National Aging Network and its organizations, programs, and services.

Explain the structure of the network at the national, state, and community levels.
