Compose a video or written product that summarizes your outline. Please submit both your outline and product. If you reference any materials to support your experience.

Required Reflection Outline

  • Before you begin, think about a psychological process or behavior you have experienced in your life, either in yourself or someone you know.
  • First, briefly describe this experience in broad terms. You do not need to give exact details about the person/situation if you do not want to. Feel free to use pseudonyms or otherwise change identifying details, so long as the underlying process/behavior you are discussing is still clear.
  • Then, consider how nature and nurture may have played a role in creating this experience. Which process might have been more prominent? Do you think the experience happened because of all the underlying nature/genes of the person, their nurture/experience, or a combination of the two?
  • Finally, reflect on how your interpretation of the underlying cause of this psychological process or behavior may change how you or others may think about the situation or behave towards the person.

Written Blog Option 1: Compose a short blog-style reflection or scripted video reflection.
