In Plato's Republic Book 7 (allegory of Cave), I would like to brainstorm some philosophical reasons as to why the guardians would choose not to go back into the cave.

The analogy of the cave in Book VII raises a question: why would the Guardians go back to rule the city? Explain why this question arises and how Socrates tries to answer it.
